PRIVACY POLICY

This policy governs activities of companies owned by Central Bancshares, including:

  • Central Bank & Trust Co.
  • Central Bank, FSB
  • Central Bank of Jefferson County
  • Salt Lick Deposit Bank
  • Central Bank Insurance Agency, Inc.
  • Central Investment Center, Inc.

Introduction
WE RESPECT EACH CUSTOMER'S RIGHT TO PRIVACY and have implemented security procedures to protect all personal and business relationships. We believe that customer privacy should not be compromised. We do not share nonpublic personal information, except as required or allowed by law, and have implemented security procedures to protect your privacy. Accordingly, we have established this Privacy Policy as a guide for the collection, use, retention and security of individual customer information by our employees.

Policy Statement
The safekeeping of customer information is a high priority for us. Our policy is to collect personal information when it is used to maintain customer security, when it may be required by law, or when it is essential to provide normal customer service. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that the trust of our customers is one of our most important assets to be protected at all times.

Collecting Customer Information
Some information is provided to us by customers on applications and forms. This could include name, address, social security number, assets and income. Other data is developed by us as a function of customer service. Information about transactions with any of our affiliated financial services companies includes your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage. We also may receive information from a consumer reporting agency regarding your creditworthiness and credit history. In all cases, we will limit the use and collection of customer information to what is necessary to administer our business and offer services that may be beneficial to your financial needs.

Maintaining Customer Information
We are constantly striving to maintain complete and accurate customer information about your relationships with us. We pledge to respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

Limiting Employee Access to Customer Information
Each employee is required to follow our â??Code of Conductâ? which limits access to customer information to those with a business reason to know such information. All customer data is considered private and privileged and is to be used solely for the purpose of providing the finest service possible.

Establishing Security Procedures to Protect Customer Information
We safeguard information according to established security standards and procedures, ever mindful of new developments in technology for protecting information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from access by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.

Restricting Disclosure of Account Information
We do not provide personal information to outside companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial service. We may disclose information we receive from you on applications or other forms (such as your name and address) to companies that perform joint marketing services on our behalf or on behalf of other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance and your payment history with us) with financial services providers related to us by common control or ownership ("affiliates").

We are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to other third parties in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us, to government entities in response to subpoenas, and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law. If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties
When we conduct business with third party vendors in order to provide financial products and services, we require the vendor to comply with our standards of conduct regarding the privacy and confidentiality of personally identifiable customer information.

 

Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driverâ??s license or other identifying documents and retain a copy.

Inquiring about Privacy Information
We value each and every customer relationship. We want you to understand how we use personal information you may provide and our commitment to ensuring personal privacy. Federal law allows us to disclose information as listed herein and you may not opt out of this disclosure of information. We may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.

FACT ACT DISCLOSURE FOR INITIAL MARKETING OPT OUT NOTICE
Notice of Customer Option to Not Receive Marketing Offers from Affiliates of Central Bancshares

  • You may limit our affiliates from marketing their financial products or services to you, based on information that we share with them, such as your account history with us.
  • Your decision to limit marketing offers from our affiliates is permanent and will only be amended upon authorization from you.
  • This limitation does not apply in certain circumstances, such as if you currently do business with one of our affiliates or if you ask to receive information or offers from them.
  • Your decision to opt out of marketing offers for an account that is jointly held by other consumers will also apply to all the owners of the account.
To limit marketing offers of financial services provided by affiliates of Central Bancshares:

  • Indicate the following information:

    I do not want your affiliates to use information you share with them to market their products or services to me. This decision is permanent and will change only if I request information about the services provided by our affiliates.
